Reusing Demolished Concrete Waste for the Production of Eco-friendly Concrete Blocks

π This study explores the use of recycled demolished concrete waste as a replacement for natural coarse aggregates in concrete blocks. Experimental results showed that blocks containing up to 50% recycled aggregates achieved satisfactory performance for non-load-bearing applications. The findings demonstrate a sustainable approach to reducing construction waste, conserving natural resources, and promoting eco-friendly building practices.

π This study evaluates the seismic performance of a 15-storey reinforced concrete building with different shear wall configurations using ETABS and the Equivalent Static Analysis method. The results compare lateral displacement, storey drift, shear, and stiffness to identify the most effective shear wall position for improving earthquake resistance in high-rise buildings located in Bangladesh’s seismic zone.

π This study investigates the seismic performance of four different reinforced concrete building shapes using nonlinear static (pushover) analysis in accordance with BNBC 2020. Using ETABS, the research evaluates how building geometry influences structural behavior under earthquake loading and highlights the importance of shape in improving seismic performance and safety.
